Upon arrival to the church, there were approximately 100 children waiting for the students to perform and eat lunch with. Quickly, the team of students entertained the little ones with puppets, hugs, and smiles.

The first day at the foundation was a day of preparation, bonding, and eye opening experiences. A youth baseball league was playing a game on the infamous "Field of Dreams". Manny Mota quickly got word that student, Gavin Vogel, played 2nd base for his baseball team and was thrown into the game with the rest of the Dominican boys.

This is the position the Foothill Christian Junior High Cheer team finds themselves in after their history-making trip to the 2016 FCC National Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida.
Thanksgiving Day will never be the same for FCS team members who spent this past week serving El Tamarindo's most needy children and families. Despite the hot sweaty work of serving over 200 children delicious turkey dinners, every one involved enjoyed the challenge of making sure these exuberant little guests had plenty to eat here at the Manny Mota Foundation.
When serving in this kind of despair, feeling helpless and hopeless can often plague our thoughts, as it did for many of our students. Matthew 13 challenges us to see with a new perspective, to really see and hear when God is moving in around us.
