COVID-19

PRESCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

As of July 19, 2022

Hello FCP Families,

We wanted to inform you about a few Covid protocols currently in place at the preschool.

Earlier in the spring, the CDC and LA County Dept. of Public Health (as of March 11th), made wearing masks a strong recommendation instead of a mandate. At that point, mask wearing became optional for students, parents and FCP employees.

The optional mask wearing policy is still currently in place.

We will continue to make sure students and staff are consistently washing their hands and that classroom furniture and cots are disinfected regularly. It will remain our policy to send students home if they are showing any signs of illness. We are asking that students to be tested for Covid if they have any symptoms including fever, cough, sore throat, headaches, sinus infections, etc. before returning to school. If your child is positive for Covid you will need to keep your child home for 5 days from the onset of symptoms. After 5 days please test again and if negative and symptom free, your child can return on day 6.

Parents are permitted into the school facilities for drop-off and pick-up. Don’t forget…It's imperative (according to state licensing laws) that you sign your child in or out in the front office before stepping further into the school.

ROUTE 66

Parents should drop-off or pick-up their child at the classroom door. Classes begin promptly at 8:30am.

For extended afternoon pick-up (between 3:30pm - 4:30pm) the children will be playing outside. During that time, there will be one check-out door at the end of the West hallway near the playground/patio exit. Parents will enter the facility and check-out their children via Brightwheel in the front office (this is state law!). They should then proceed down the left hallway to the back patio door, and wait there, while their child is paged and brought to you.

Once your child is brought to you, please walk your child to their classroom to pick up their backpacks. Backpacks will be left outside their classroom door.

BASELINE (HALF-DAY)

Parents should drop-off their child at the classroom or on the yard (weather permitting). Classes begin after flag salute and prayer at 8:30am

We are so grateful to be back to more normal routines while being as safe as possible.

I want to remind all of us that God is still in control of His world and still in control of you and me. He is not surprised, upset or wringing his hands in heaven. He knows the beginning from the end. He is with us when all is well and he even walks with us through the valley of the shadow of death. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is our refuge and strength. A very present help in times of trouble. Therefore, we will not fear!
